Hungarian family was sentenced after trafficking girls to the United Kingdom

Alex B. and his family living in England trafficked girls to England to work as sex slaves in a brothel for 3 years. Alex B.’s wife, son-in-law, son and daughter were also involved in the crime.

Alex B. was sentenced to jail for five years and 10 months, his wife pleaded guilty to conspiracy to keep a brothel used for prostitution. She was given a nine month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Their son pleaded guilty to the same charge as his mother and was also given a nine month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Their daughter pleaded guilty to conspiracy to keep a brothel used for prostitution and was given a six month sentence suspended for 12 months. Alex B.’s sister and his partner pleaded guilty to conspiracy to keep a brothel used for prostitution. They were given a conditional discharge for 12 months.

One of the victims reported the family in March 2014. The young woman was brought to the UK at age 18 in 2012. There she met B. Alex who flew her to the Netherlands and forced her to be a sex worker. The family exploited altogether 3 young women who were forced to upload their photos to the internet where the clients could choose from them. The clients always paid to the family, the victims only got basic food, accommodation and cannabis.
