The Central European and Central-Eastern European priorities in the combat against human trafficking and the topic-related tasks of Salzburg Forum are on the agenda of the Salzburg Forum Ministerial Conference that is going to take place between 10 and 11 October 2012, in Mátraháza, Hungary.
In June this year the European Strategy to Combat Human Trafficing was passed to define the goals and necessary actions for the next four years in order to eliminate human trafficking.
According to the document and Europol studies, Central Europe and Central-Easter Europe is particularly endangered, since people from these regions are often found among victims of human trafficking. That is why it is especially important that Salzburg Forum, as the platform dealing with questions of Central European interior safety, discusses the possible actions at a high level.
Interior ministers of 15 countries along with the Anti-Trafficking Coordinator of the European Commission will participate at the conference.
