The National Police Headquarters has organised a play to raise awareness of the dangers of trafficking in persons and prostitution on the occasion of the European Day for Anti-Trafficking on 18 October. The ‘Láthatáron’ Group and ‘KV Társulat’ performed the play ‘I will stand for You!’ at the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Police Headquarters and the Budapest Police Headquarters on 19 and 20 October.

The presentation focuses on the opportunities and the process of becoming a victim of prostitution and human trafficking for young people in state care, through the story of a girl who ran away from a residential home. The audience was made up of young people in residential care, as well as prosecutors, judges and police officers.

After the performance, the actors, crime prevention professionals and the audience worked together in a drama education session to develop the story from the play.

The play has already been performed in around 80 children's homes between 2015 and 2020, and adapted for police attitude-shaping in 2021.
