Three men suspected of forcing underage girls into prostitution in Debrecen were taken into criminal custody.
in Debrecen. The investigators immediately started to investigate the case and carried out a detailed data collection and interviewed several witnesses. The information they received appeared to be confirmed, and they came across a 20-year-old young man and two 19-year-old accomplices.
According to the investigation, the girls were repeatedly forced to engage in prostitution in Debrecen. The victims were regularly assaulted and threatened, and the money they received for sexual services was taken from them. It was also suspected that the 20-year-old man had raped one of the girls.
The three residents of Hajdúböszörmény was arrested at dawn on 26 October 2022 by the Police. Following their interrogation, the investigators took them into criminal custody and proposed their arrest, which was ordered by the Debrecen District Court.
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters initiated criminal proceedings against all three suspects on the basis of well-founded suspicion of committing the crime of human trafficking, and the 20-year-old man is also charged with the crime of sexual violence against a person under the age of 18.
