The National Crisis Telephone Information Service started its operation on 1 April 2005. The 24/7 confidential telephone service (06-80-20-55-20) can be reached free from any location in Hungary and it provides support for victims of violence, prostitution and trafficking in human beings.
Besides of telephone assistance the service helps referring victims in crisis situation to secret shelters.
On the occasion of its 10 years existence, on 2 April a professional conference was held which was opened by Mr Tamás Schanda, Deputy State Secretary for Youth Affairs on behalf of the Ministry of Human Capacities.
Participants were provided opportunity to extend their knowledge in the fields of child abuse, dynamics of abuse, recognition of the signs of abuse and victims of trafficking in human beings.
