In the framework of the project a wide range of new services has been introduced on a pilot basis: rescue and safe transport, family care, good money management, reintegration assistance, low-threshold assistance (administrative and psychosocial support outside the shelters), aftercare. As regards the reintegration component, each victim was eligible for a financial support for renting a flat, education and trainings, medical treatment, etc. Until the end of the implementation period, 31 July 2022, a total of 68 victims were assisted.

The overall aim of the project was to raise awareness in the Hungarian society about the phenomenon and the dangers of human trafficking, thus reducing the risk of becoming victim and also reducing the demand for the services provided by the exploited persons. To this end, nationwide media campaign was launched in December 2022, accompanied by a total of 4 surveys on the level of knowledge and attitudes of the society towards trafficking.
IOM also organized visits to institutions (schools, children's homes, camps) throughout the country to raise awareness specifically among young people at risk.
Another key outcome of the project is a frequently cited study entitled “Psychological drivers of human trafficking”.
Complex return and reintegration programme for victims of trafficking in human beings

This project provides funding for the safe return of 21 Hungarian citizens who have fallen victim to traffickers abroad. Upon return, the victims were also entitled to reintegration support (financial assistance, moving social worker, etc.).
In order to identify as many victims as possible, a workshop was organized for consular officials and partnerships have been built with victim support organizations in Germany, where statistics show a particularly high number of Hungarian victims.
Implementation of tasks to prepare the further development of EKAT System
