2019 “TIP Hero” Award of the U.S. State Department – Ágnes De Coll was honoured this year

Agnes De Coll is one of the eight individuals from around the world who was recognized for her efforts to fight against human trafficking, at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC on 20 June 2019.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Presidential Advisor Ivanka Trump handed out the prestigious award at the Benjamin Franklin Room on the occasion of the presentation of the 2019 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report with the following recognition:

„Agnes De Coll from Hungary, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to strengthen the capacity of Hungarian Government institutions to combat human trafficking and raise public awareness, and for her steadfast efforts in leading the anti-trafficking unit of one of Hungary’s premier civil society organizations.”

The honourable prize is awarded to eight dedicated professionals from all over the world by the US Department of State every year. Agnes De Coll is the leader of the Hungarian Baptist Aid’s Anti-Human Trafficking Program. She has been contributing for many years to the horizontal national and international objectives related to the phenomenon in the areas of victim support and awareness-raising.
