The University of Pécs will host the center established in the context of Dutch–Hungarian cooperation

By signing a letter of intent, Hungary and the Netherlands will strengthen their cooperation by setting up a research center on human trafficking at the University of Pécs. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Hungarian ambassador Dr. András Kocsis, the Dutch Ambassador to Budapest René van Hell, the Chief of Police of The Hague Paul van Musscher and Dr. Attila Miseta, the Rector of the University of Pécs. Due to the pandemic, some of the participants were only present online.

After several months of preparatory work, the declaration is an important milestone, as the signatories have raised the already well-functioning police cooperation to a scientific level, expressing their intention to contribute even more effectively to the research center by encouraging PhD research, supporting relevant research projects and publications to contribute to the combat against trafficking in human beings.
