Investigators, prosecutors and judges from Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Hajdú-Bihar counties participated in the one-day training on human trafficking held on 25 November.

Beyond the frontal lectures, the small group workshops are considered the key value of these sessions where the actors of the criminal procedure get to know each other’s approaches, ways of thinking, thus cases of human trafficking can move more smoothly from the investigative phase to prosecution and the final judgment.

The training series with the professional support of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Institute of Criminology and the National Police Headquarters includes policemen, prosecutors and judges from three counties of Hungary each time. Next year four trainings are envisaged in order to cover all regions of the country.

In the first half of 2021 the training program will continue on online platform, while from summer the Ministry of Interior plans – in the hope of an easing of the pandemic – to shift back to the personal attendance.
