On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s Budapest office, the Foundation and the Hungarian Police Headquarters organized an international workshop called “Fight against human trafficking – Cooperation with NGOs” on 3rd of March 2015.
In their welcome speeches Mr Zsolt Halmosi, Deputy Chief of the Hungarian National Police and Ms Ursula Männle, President of the Foundation emphasised the importance of NGOs and pointed out the development of cooperation among police and NGOs in the fight against human trafficking.
Participants got acquainted with the cooperation of the Munich Police Department and local German NGOs as well as with the transnational cooperation in the fight against sexual exploitation and human trafficking. The event provided an excellent opportunity for presenting the activity of relevant Hungarian NGOs in the fight against human trafficking and contributed to deepening cooperation and enhancing dialogue with the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
