They forced the girls into prostitution in Germany and Switzerland.

The Counter-Trafficking Unit of the National Bureau of Investigation is conducting criminal proceedings against Attila Sz. and his partner, Ramóna L., residents of Szolnok, who are suspected of sexually exploiting their victims for several years. The man seduced the selected victims and then persuaded them, partly by violence and partly by deception referring to his business problems to engage in prostitution abroad.

The girls arriving in Germany and Switzerland were instructed by another Hungarian woman who, according to the data of the investigation, also acted under duress. The earnings from the sexual services were taken away by the perpetrators, whose total income amounted to nearly HUF 21 million (equal to approx. € 60 000) over the years.

On the morning of 17 June 2021, the couple was captured and taken into custody in the raid of the Riot Police at their residence in the town of Szolnok. In the case of the man, the court of jurisdiction ordered criminal supervision, while his partner is not subject to coercive measures restricting personal freedom for the time being.

During the search in their apartment, the police seized material evidence, as well as HUF 1 million in cash and their high-value car in the framework of asset recovery, and also took measures to sequester the property in Szolnok. The video footage and photos taken on the spot can be viewed in the press release of the Hungarian Police below.
