As in previous years, Europol, along with Hungary and more than 30 other states, held a joint operation between 22 and 28 September 2025 as part of international efforts to combat labour exploitation.
During joint employment inspections carried out with the police under the EMPACT action, one case of suspected labour exploitation arose. In Fejér County, six adults and a 15-year-old girl were working on two pig farms owned by a primary producer. The employer did not report the employees to the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) and did not pay wages to his employees, whom he kept in particularly poor working and living conditions. The Criminal Investigation Department of the Fejér County Police Headquarters is conducting proceedings against the perpetrator.
The results of the EMPACT action in our country are as follows:
More information on the operation can be found on the Police website and in the Europol press release.
