Publicated on: November 19, 2021

A 24-year-old Salgótarján man, who was arrested by the Nógrád county police, forced a girl to commit sexual acts.

The police initiated proceedings against 24-year-old Máté P. for a well-founded suspicion of the criminal offense of sexual abuse, human trafficking and forced labor.

According to available data, the man committed sexual acts with his 13-year-old victim several times in his home between the end of 2020 and the spring of 2021. Subsequently, between 7 April and 25 October 2021, the then 14-year-old victim was forced to engage in sexual acts with other men known to the perpetrator in Salgótarján, taking advantage of her vulnerable position. Máté P. agreed on, among other things, the nature of the service, as well as the amount of financial consideration by his acquaintances, which he himself took over from the clients. The 14-year-old girl protested several times against the sexual acts, at which time Máté P. abused her, forcing her to perform the acts.

The suspect used the money he received for the sexual services to support himself.

Officers of the Nógrád County Police Headquarters arrested the accused and the perpetrators of the sexual acts during a coordinated criminal action in the early hours of the morning on November 16, 2021. Máté P. was interrogated as a suspect, detained, and a motion was made for his arrest.
