Training under the INVER project

Publicated on: October 24, 2024

On 17 October 2024, a training was organised at the National Institute of Criminology (OKRI) in the framework of the international project "Developing a financial model of labour exploitation to identify victims and companies and prevent exploitation" (INVERT), which was awarded by the European Union Internal Security Fund programme.

The first training material was edited by OKRI, with input from Transcrime and Victim Sup-port Europe. Transcrime's researcher, who is coordinating the INVERT project, told us that the so-called INVERT programme package is expected to be in trial operation from Novem-ber, how to prepare for interviews with victims, what circumstances and aspects to pay atten-tion to.

In the framework of the international project, a practical training course was organised for nearly 50 practitioners. During the event, police officers, prosecutors and employment officers worked in small groups to develop posters on a specific theme and to work on a case. The training provided an opportunity to recharge their batteries, gain new knowledge, and for the partner services to get to know each other's work, difficulties and opportunities for coopera-tion.
