Two men who trafficked a Hungarian woman to Great Britain and sold her into marriage were sentenced

The 22-year-old woman applied to a job as a babysitter in London in 2013.

When she arrived to Budapest she was threatened by 3 men were waiting for her and drove her first to Slovakia then to the United Kingdom. In Manchester she was sold for a Pakistani man for £3,500 and was forced to marry him. She was helped captive for 3 weeks in Manchester before she could alert the police.

The Slovakian man who organized the operation was jailed for 4 years and 2 months and the Pakistani man was jailed for 20 months. A third person, who was also involved in the case, was arrested in Germany. The Hungarian woman returned home safely.
